Epicondylalgia is commonly recognised due to the painful inflammation of the muscles and soft tissues (LIGAMENT or TENDON) around an epicondyle. Lateral epicondylalgia (tennis elbow) and medial epicondylalgia (golfer’s elbow) are conditions that cause pain at the elbow. Activities where pain is commonly prominent are grasping, pushing, pulling and lifting. In severe cases, pain may even occur at rest.
